What
you see is NOT what you get! I went to a local Lasik clinic in
Toronto for a free consult for laser eye surgery that had splashy ads
of low cost surgeries; I did NOT leave with that price. Up-sell, my
prescription and a cost of having my choice of new technology or not
did not settle well. What surgeon would seriously offer a lower end
surgery?
Needless
to say, I went to another clinic that was more transparent with their
prices. I did not feel comfortable have laser
vision correction with a clinic that misled me before even
getting into the clinic. Laser eye surgery ads and promises are not
going to suck me in. I want a clinic that is committed to every
patient and is transparent in their dealings from the get go. I
highly recommend going to a clinic that is both upfront with their
pricing and offers nothing but the BEST!
Take
time with your laser vision correction decision and make sure to meet
your surgeon BEFORE the surgery. This was a deal breaker for me. I
want to know whose hands I am placing my eyes in and want to make
sure that the surgeon is experienced. I did not want to see a
resume; I wanted to talk to my surgeon.
I
ended up going to a very experienced surgeon and had super results!
